Asphalt Plant Dryer

After the aggregate is dosed in the asphalt plant, it removes moisture from the aggregate and heats it to a specific temperature. It is one of the most important pieces of equipment in an asphalt plant.

Asphalt plant dryers consist of the following basic components:

  • Burner: This is the device used to heat the air in the dryer. Liquid fuels such as natural gas or fuel oil are generally used.
  • Dryer buckets: These are the buckets through which the aggregate passes and is heated. Buckets are usually made of steel.
 

The operating principle of asphalt plant dryers is as follows:

  • The fire in the burner heats the air sent to the dryer buckets.
  • The heated air passes through the aggregate, heating it and removing moisture.
  • The heated and dried aggregate passes through the dryer and is sent to the screen using the elevator.

  • The rings are rotated with specially manufactured dryer drive pulleys (optional) made of KESTAMID material, which is non-corrosive and can operate in all weather conditions.
  • Dryer drive pulleys made of cast iron or 4140 steel are available upon request.
  • The two limiting pulleys in the system limit the dryer’s operating distance.
  • The special bucket design from the dryer inlet to the discharge neck ensures smooth heating of the aggregate, efficient and economical combustion of the burner, and easy extraction of dust generated within the dryer.
  • Highly efficient, economical, and trouble-free heating with our own dryer burners or burners purchased from world-class quality burner brands. Fully automatic burners that can operate with liquid, gaseous, or combined fuels, and comply with TSE and CE standards, are manufactured using these burners.
  • Body and bucket manufactured from wear-resistant and heat-resistant sheet metal.
  • Four-wheel drive. It is driven by a soft starter or speed controller, ensuring easy and smooth starts under load.
  • Maximum energy savings are achieved by insulating with 50 mm rock wool and stainless (chrome) sheet metal.
  • Long-lasting operation is ensured with high-quality reducers and electric motors.
  • The bearings and bearing housings used are from world-renowned brands, guaranteeing maximum operating life.
