An asphalt plant filter system generally consists of three main components:
  1. Filter Bags: These bags capture particles and fumes as they pass through the gases in the asphalt plant. Filter bags are generally made of high-temperature-resistant, special materials.
  2. Filter Suction Fan: The fan in the filter system sucks in gases and particles from the asphalt plant and directs them toward the filter bags. This way, the gases and particles are filtered, and the cleaned air is released into the atmosphere.
  3. Cleaning System: Filter bags can become clogged with particle accumulation over time. Therefore, the filter system is usually equipped with a cleaning system. The cleaning system cleans the filter bags at regular intervals and removes the particles.

  • Temperature control is achieved using two independent methods, including a PT100 and a heat thermostat, and the burner automatically shuts off when the set temperature is exceeded. This prevents filter fires.
  • An optional blower system can be added to the filter system to improve the cleaning quality of the filter bags. This ensures extra dust extraction and comfortable operation, especially in humid areas.
  • An optional fresh air damper can be added to the system. This damper’s function is to open the filter inlet to the atmosphere when excessive heat is detected in the filter, allowing the filter unit to cool quickly.
  • Since the filter body includes a cyclone section, a separate cyclone unit is not required.
  • Because our filter system includes a cyclone section, coarse and fine fillers are collected from separate compartments. A weighted damper or air lock (rotary valve) placed in these compartments ensures maximum filter efficiency.
